Registration Process
Step 1: Online Application on DGFT Website
- The DGFT website is where you apply for your IEC. Visit the site at https://dgft.gov.in.
- You need to create a user profile by entering your PAN number and business details. After that, you’ll receive login details.
- Once logged in, fill in the necessary details like your personal information, contact details, and bank account information.
Step 2: Uploading Required Documents
- Upload documents like your PAN card, address proof, bank certificate, and a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) if needed.
- Make sure all documents are correct. Inaccurate uploads can cause delays or rejections.
Step 3: Payment of Application Fees
The registration fee is negligible under I/E Code. Please refer to the present fee structure from the DGFT website.
Step 4: Verification and Approval by DGFT
The application and documents submitted by you will be checked by the DGFT.
Step 5: Issuance of IEC Certificate
- Once your application is approved, download your IEC certificate from the DGFT portal.
- IEC is lifetime valid and does not require renewal, however, the renewal should be done on an annual basis.
